DoubleTree Omaha (In progress)

A hotel in dire need of renovation, this 180-key hospitality project is located on a high-visibility lot just off a major highway in Omaha, Nebraska. The shell and structure of the building have been kept, while completely new interiors, openings, and façades are being installed. Black manganese brick compliments zinc panels, slats of natural wood Prodema and white EIFS on the facade. Contemporary, clean-lined furniture, fabrics, and wallcoverings continue the restrained, rich palette on the interior. Room layouts were completely redesigned, and a new porte cochere location and parking layout significantly improve visitor flow.

Expected to open in late 2014/early 2015. Role included interior design, space planning and architectural design.

Type: Hotel. Status: In Progress. Date: 2012–2014. Location: Omaha, Nebraska. Office: In collaboration with AcV2 Architecture. Client: Withheld.
